Shri Shikharji or Parasnath mountain is a hill located in Giridih district of Jharkhand state, India, which is also the world's most important Jain pilgrimage site. Known as 'Shri Sammed Shikharji', 20 out of 24 Tirthankaras of Jainism attained salvation in this virtuous area. It is here that Lord Parshvanath, the 23rd Tirthankar also attained Nirvana. It is believed that 20 of the 24 Jain Tirthankaras attained salvation here. The 1,350 m (4,430 ft) high mountain is also the highest point in Jharkhand.

The nearest railway station named "Parasnath Station" is located at Isri Bazar, Dumri, Jharkhand. About 25 km from Madhuban at Shikharji's base.
